Face Primer

While I was browsing around Sephora after I got my foundation situation handled, the
same employee that helped me with my foundation suggested I use a primer under my
foundation. I have used primer before but maybe I was not using it correctly. I liked the way it
made my foundation look like a matte finish. She applied the primer with a foundation looking brush ( I don't know the exact name) all over my face evenly and applied the foundation.

I will post pictures of the final look also.

Here is the primer that I purchased and used.

I really liked the way it made my make up stay on all day and the finish of the foundation looked great too.

I decided to make a trip back to Sephora and pick up some foundation. I wanted a foundation that matched my winter skin undertone. The current foundation I was wearing seemed too dark for my skin in the winter time.

So I visited Sephora over the weekend and purchased Nars all day luminous weightless foundation in the color Macao. I really wanted one of the employees to give me their expertise but the mall on the weekends is treacherous!

When I wore the foundation the next day I noticed in different lighting I looked almost umpa-lumpa like. An orange tinge to my face which I was not feeling at all. Not for the winter time.

So when I went back to Sephora yesterday one of the employees helped me and we did half my face in Macao and the other half in Cadiz. I was happy with Cadiz and decided to keep Macao for the summer time.

I will post some pictures of this foundation also.

Good afternoon wonderful people!!

I passed by Sephora the other day and couldn't help but walk in. So what I ended up buying was the contour kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills in the color tan. I jumped on the band wagon. Lè sigh. lol. So far I am playing around with the different highlighters and contour colors. I will say it does slightly brighten up my face and creates depth and definition. But at $40 per pallet you are investing a lot. But it will last you a long time. I wanted to purchase a powder contour kit because the oil base kits might have been harder to blend for a novice contour like myself. My friend who is a make up stylist recommended this product for me. Overall I would recommend this product!!

Overview

Every company is jumping on the highlighting bandwagon. And every company claims they have the best one. Today I will show you some of those highlighters, and a few blushes.

Products

One of the most talked about highlighter's around right now is one by Becca, called

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed - Champagne Pop. This is limited edition so it was already sold out at my local Sephora.

Another favorite that I use all the time is the Nars blush in a color called Albatross. It is used as a highlighter on the check bones and any where on your want your face that you want to give it a pop of shimmer.

A recent purchase is a duo blush by Nars in the colors, Orgasm/ Laguna. The effect is a peachy-pink shimmer for Orgasm and a  sheer light brown shimmer for the Laguna color.

I hope you guys liked my little tid-bit on blush and highlighters. See you soon!
